Technical
The manufacture of tubular and clincher tyres is carried out using
the same materials, which ensures the most outstanding ride qualities
that Veloflex is renowned for. The use of traditional materials
and methods of construction are essential components.
Material is formulated for best grip in dry and wet conditions.
Super low rolling resistance for high performance use.
Kevlar filament layer is used beneath the tread layer for improved
puncture resistance
Ultra fine cotton fibre thread is used in the tyre casings, no less
than 150 threads per inch in each layer, creating one of the most
supple tyres in the world.
Clincher
Kevlar by Dupont is used in an untwisted form in the tyre beads
to provide a secure fixing to the rims hook bead.
Tubular
All tubulars have hand sewn carcases and use high quality base tapes
ensuring perfect fit to alloy or carbon rims.
